Fenriz still hates us

darkthrone: deflatedYet again it’s been brought to our attention that Fenriz is still cut up about Antihumanism.com’s strong criticism of “new” Darkthrone.

In the official Darkthrone myspace blog, he says:

anyone remember that lowlife who took a month of his spare time just to make a FAKE dakthrone mini-site with fake album cover and fake songs? well, let’s just say if I was like that guy, I understand why he is ANTI-HUMAN, HAHAHAHA!!

Official Darkthrone myspace blog

Fenriz mate, it took about 5 minutes all in all. If I remember correctly, the guy who made the “fake” song (though it was at least as “good” as your current ”official” material) spent less than an hour making it.

It seems that you’re still pissed at us because so many people thought our parody was REAL (the thread at the Nuclear War Now forum was especially hilarious before it was deleted) and that must have really hurt your ego…

    Fenriz hates Anti-Humanism?
    FALSE!

  2. blaaarghhh Says:

LMAO-seriously-does anyone remember the days when you did not hear a word from the darkthrone boys?? Those were the days. How very “punk” of him of to whine on myspace. At least NC does not come across this retarded. At least I have not read too much from him. From what I have seen from him and read-he still holds onto to his CF/Bathory worship which I appreciate. Does not waste his time writing about every worthless thrash album that came out in the 80′s. I was there-the reason why the “bigger” thrash bands became and stayed bigger or “better” than the rest because it became formulaic-boring-tedious. Once Metallica signed to Elektra and “deth to Capitol-most of the thrash bands wanted to get signed and starting re-hashing Hetfield riffs. 90% of the thrash that came out between 84 and 89 was utter garbage. And nostalgic wannabe’s like Fenriz try to show the youngun’s how super uber the “old days” were by pulling out ever dimestore hideos thrash album and saying how good it was. The old days sucked! Much of what happened to thrash has happened to BM. I wonder if he will ever come to Atrophy’s debut pile of dung and say how legendary it was. Or how about Meliah Rage Fenriz? How into them are you going to be? When did he turn into Lars Ulrich? On the ANNOYING SCALE?
Shut up-stop writing on myspace and maybe write a song now and again that does not take 1 minute to write and is absoluetly basic as all hell.
Everything about him has become tedious. NC should shit can him and ask Hellhammer or Faust to do something. Anything. Please. Lose Lars Fenriz.

  3. blaaarghhh Says:

BTW-I just had to type this-how could NC “sing” a song like “Raised On Rock” without wanting to abort himself? It’s just mind numbingly stupid. I don’t think you have to sing about dragons and demons-(I actually thought the lyrics on Ravishing were interesting) or cold forest nights in Norway-but comeon? And the part about Venom is hysterical. There seems to be this undercurrent-maybe it came from the throne to justify playing boring shit-but now its hip to think of Venom and Bathory as “punk”. -that punk and BM are not mutually exclusive. I am an american-I dont know what the demo is for thsi site-alot of euros here or not-but my first band was punk band and I was 13 going on 14-the other dudes were older teens. This was 84-we played shows-and shit like that. With the beginnings of harcore bands, crossover and your traditional punk-which we were ala. Ramones, NY Dolls, early Clash, Pistols-etc. I was also getting into heavier metal-underground shit for its time-and yes Venom. But in the punk scene, punk music of its time-the time when Venom and shortly to come Bathory. were playing-I can tell you 100%-no one in America in the punk scene I came across ever considered Venom a “punk” band. Not even musically. Punk kids at that time wearing Disharge t-shirts would have popped you in the mouth for saying that shit.
In fact-the only 2 “metal” bands that I ever knew punk kids-whether it was Dead Kennedy fans or Cro-Mags fans-got into was Slayer and Motorhead.
So I wish idiots who should know this stuff-who are my age-(aka Fenriz) should stop re-writing history to sell records to kids who dont know any better.

  4. blaaarghhh Says:

OMFG-or Odin-I just wandered over the Lars Fenriz blog-what a bunch of moronic ass kissing clones that posted on that thread. References to Accept (the worst german band ever-would rather listen to fucking Warlock-at least Doro could sing and much better to look at than Udo) and Golden Girls-the tv show?
    What????WTF????
All the throne needs now is Dan Spitz on guitar and a pair of jams and they could be the biggest joke in metal ever.
WOW-how they mighty just tumble like a turd from the ass of genre trendfucks….

  5. Bicro Says:

    I LOVE DARKTHRONE!!!!

    WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  6. Bicro Says:

Seriously, I started listening to them because they cracked me up.

  7. Anti-Humanist Says:

The Golden Girls was a good show man, don’t be hating.

  8. blaaarghhh Says:

    anti-humanist-the golden girls blew…
honestly, the demo for that show was old woman and closet gays…
but seeing how I love Fiddler On The Roof and Funny Girl…
    I cannot say shit…lol
but I also never put “aryan black metal” on an album sleeve either to show how “tough” I was either….

  9. Name Says:

The best course of action of course, is writing and recording twenty more songs in the space of three days. Hell, make it thirty.

  10. Bicro Says:

@blaaarghhh: You have a fine point about the whining on myspace.
Doesn’t one of the boys work at the post office? Maybe that’s why.

  11. blaaarghhh Says:

I apologize for all the typing errors and grammatical as well-
I try to be succint and type fast-so errors happen-
I have vomited enough about lars fenriz-
I have no problem with bands altering or changing their styles..
hell, I am in the minority-but my fave CF album is “Pandemonium”
and I like-”new” Tiamat-they have been doing their weird ‘delic/goth shit for a long while now-
some of it I can leave-but the things I have read about edlund and from him-he does not seem to give a shit or try to pander-in interviews-the few I have read-.
does not try to present new Tiamat as if it’s the same as the old- or better..
christ they still play stuff from Sumerian live-with a twist-
he seems to have a “it is what it is” attitude. I know they look the part of the wannabe goth seen look…but beyond that…
it’s pretty straightforward. I appreciate that he does not think we are all morons-try to be all “metal” guy or “goth” guy…
and lars fenriz could have done that without becoming a parody-drunk, stoned,,trying to be all 80′s thrash guy again-it’s sad and pathetic actually-he is almost 40…
leave the juvenile shit for the kids…thats what being young is..
not saying that he cannot play metal or being what he wants to be…
but by 40-you should have a little maturity and sophistication,
which would probably make for better tunes..
if he stopped wishing he was 14 again…
anyway-I am done…Lars Fenriz is joke-Darkthone are close to ruining any cred they ever had…
@ Bicro-I believe that it is Lars Fenriz who works at the post office…if he hates his station so much in life, so much so he wants to revert back to a teen-fen man-seriously-go back to school or something…not like Throne tours…
    I cannot believe NC is a teacher I believe….

  12. Bicro Says:

New question: If Fenriz is the Lars of the BM scene, then what does that make Hellhammer?

  13. Reginhard Says:

Bicro: Dave Mustaine perhaps?… ;) Very talented and innovative but also very unforgiving to his roots, which he will diverge from whenever he feels like it.

  14. Bicro Says:

@ Reginhard: Pretty fair estimate, seeing as he has played for Antestor which are the antithesis of where he started (ideology-wise, dunno about the music).

  15. fff Says:

the picture is a win haha

  16. The clown of immortal jesterous willies Says:

This article gets to the heart of the problem of modern Darkthrone.

Loads of people couldn’t tell that the joke/fake Darkthrone track that this site put together wasn’t actually real (I saw this first hand, both at Terrorizer, BM.co.uk and NWN forums).

Thus Fenriz is left in an embarrassing situation where he either goes mental at the “lowlife” who runs this site, or admits that new Darkthrone sucks shit and that any moron can do something similar with an hour or so to spare.

The only thing that separates 21st century Darkthrone from the guy who put that fake track together is the kvlt legendary brand name of Darkthrone. A “brand” which is rapidly going down the toilet.

  17. Fenriz McCoy Says:

Fuck you all man! NORSK ARISK BLACK METAL forever! Sieg Heil!!!!!!

  18. Reginhard Says:

Bicro: Yes, it was just what I was alluding to. And concerning Dave Mustaine I am ofcourse referring to his repudiation of Rotting Christ and cancelling of the tour. They both started out very evil and wanted to push limits in their own ways, but somehow they backlashed thanks to medial induction and influence – and both claimed it was all about the music, while they left the main instigations and impetuses to decay. It is one thing to change musical direction, another to spoil it over neglections of the prime reasons for why they play it. That being said – Hellhammer and Dave still make some good music, but the music can easily seem void and directionless, much like the ANUS-critique of the new Burzum-album (Albeit I disagree on that it was directionless, but back to topic)

Music such as metal indeed demand many prerequisities of passion to hold that strength it wishes to mediate, therefore an abandoning of roots doesn’t neccessarily imply that the new ideas are worthless, but one must remember just what the meaning of the music is. Yes, metal is a music of meaning and strength, an elitistic genre for the best, and that is the main reason for why it has been such an innovative genre and also so abhorred and detested at its ”ideal” manifestations. (the hipsters and metal-crowdists will allways deny this unrelenting fact, making a parody of metal itself, which also tells a story on why all this Watain-worshipping and metalcore-trash is so wonderful to jest about).

  19. pira666 Says:

Just listened to the fake-darkthrone song. Well, in the end it’s not bad! Why don’t you put up a band and play stuff like this? It’s better than wasting time in discussions about this or that band. Then, you could play live and have fun! I would come to some gigs.

  20. blaaarghhh Says:

LMAO@pira666-the “fake” darkthrone song is a PARODY about how BAD the music is..
and how is anyone posting here “wasting” time? I always laugh when someone types on any thread (usually a person not agreeing with the article or a majority of comments)
that people are “wasting time”-by taking the time to tell us all that we are wasting are time-are you not at the same time, wasting your time??
It’s about people agreeing or disagreeing-a little thing called “discourse”-and it might be nice to see opinions that are close to your own-especially in an age where bands get reach arounds from online and print publications so they can get more interviews or free merch (I used to write for a pub that was small-local market-but even there I was asked to not “antagonize” bands that I interviewed by asking them tough questions-so that they would agree to further interviews or send us early copies of tunes or merch) this site is a breath of fresh air. And a few posters already (Bicro, Reginhard..) I feel are smarter than the average “cool dude, let’s party” metal mentality.
So we are not wasting are time. And I am not trying to be rude since in your post you were not, but if you really like the fake throne song-scurry on over to ‘thrones myspace page and listen to the real garbage…they won’t mind another person who does not get the jokes on them….

  21. Anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-anti-humanism Says:

@pira666: But that would mean doing something positive and constructive for once! NEVER!

  22. Cargést Says:

An hour? Try, like, five minutes.

Literally, I sat down, picked up a guitar, and went “Dun-nuh, NUUUUUUUUNNNNNN, Dun-nuh, DUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNN, NO FEELINGS” etc.

Then I masturbated to Burzum for the rest of the hour.

Anyone want me to do another one, in response to Fenriz’s whining? I’ll call it “I am the whining class”.

  23. buddhafella Says:

I really like Darkthrone (death metal / black metal / crustcore punk whatever they are now) and I think this thread and the article that spawned it is hilarious.

I don’t give a flying fuck what fenriz thinks of it; it’s humour therefore it’s subjective. Fenriz always comes across as having quite a good sense of humour but I guess this one was too close to his frostbitten knuckles.

  24. blaaarghhh Says:

    “I am the working class”…..ROTFLMAO….great song titles….
alot of thought went into this album….
how fucking pretentious….back breaking work-at the post office..lol
need a towel Fen Fen, wipe that might sweat of your brow-cause NC is a teacher-so I am sure he feels it after a hard days work…LOL
and I am sure since Norway is uber socialist.. I imagine lars fenriz is on the dole in someway
it should be re-named “I am a complete ass”

  25. Bicro Says:

How Fenriz comes up with the song titles:

“Hm, what do I wanna be when I grow up….Oooooooooo! Magnum P.I. is on!”

  26. blaaarghhh Says:

    @ Bicro-LOL…
when did pop culture TV take hold of Fen Fen?
    Golden Girls, JR Ewing, Seinfeld…
I remember reading back in 99-in Metal Maniacs (yes I used to love that cheesy piece of shit rag) there was an interview with lars F about about “Grimness”-and I think this was the beginning stages of the “funny” Fen-saying he wanted Larry Hagman from the show “Dallas” to play Bass for live shows…
    I remember going …”what…WTF”….
I think this was when they were with Satyr’s label, and he was “programming” them to be more “commercial” and “open” to the media…
and thats not conjecture-can I give you the date of the publication I read Fen stating that Satyr told them to be more “media friendly”…no..I cannot-
but I do remember it well..it might have been an interview right from moonfog… If Satyr is not the biggest BM whore there is …(I know Dani gets alot of shit-but Satyr is right behind him) I don’t know who is….he tried HARD to play up that whole band thing with Anselmo…knowing Anselmo’s name would sell much more than just your typical BM album….
If you look at the thrones career…it’s so much about WHO they are hanging out with at the time…
if I remember correctly, even Euro banished them from the “inner circle” for being trendfucks….or so I remember reading…but depending what your opinion of Euronymous is-I guess you take that with a grain of salt-
but it is obvious that they become who ever they ally themselves with…
I think Fens thrash DJ time and probably whoever they are buddies with in “crustpunk” influenced them this time around…
Fen Fen is like that annoying kid/person-we all know one or two-who changes their personality depending who they are in the room with….
except he does it with music…
too bad no site other than this one will actually question them and their place in music…

  27. blaaarghhh Says:

BTW-I want to re-iterate-I do not remember where I saw it or the exact quote-but I do remember fen fen stating in some interview that Satyr had asked them to do more interviews and promotions…
thats from memory-so if I am wrong or I did not read or remember the article correctly-someone feel free to set me straight….
I try not be the bearer of misinformation….

  28. Bicro Says:

    @blaaarghhh:
“If you look at the thrones career…it’s so much about WHO they are hanging out with at the time…”

Quite right, sir, and you may find this interesting… pulled from HERE: http://www.voicesfromthedarkside.de/interviews/darkthrone.htm

Question: On “A Blaze In The Northern Sky” you thanked the slain Black / Death Metal legend Euronymous, would you say he played a role on your musical direction as far as the Black Metal thing goes?

Answer: “I think he played a role throughout supporting the darker bands all the way as far as dealing with the underground, and had more of an interest on us that a lot of other people. I think it was great to have him there like sort of an anchor you know. He was a fuckin’ anchor.”

  29. Admin Says:

Metalion of Slayer mag has said that, though they may deny it, Darkthrone’s transformation to a regressive black metal band from death metal was almost solely due to the influence of Euronymous. Though it has to be said that goes for other older Norwegian bands also, not Darkthrone exclusively.

I do miss the days when the Darkthrone guys took pleasure in baiting people. For example, the statement in “Under a Funeral Moon” supporting the Brazilian death squadrones as a big “fuck you” to the likes of Sepultura. And the infamous Norsk Arisk Black Metal statement. Oh well.

  30. blaaarghhh Says:

    @ Admin…
Euro was 2 years older than me…
and fen fen and I are close to the same age…
but for the most part, the rest of the “inner circle” were mid to late teens when the met
Euro-like say Emperor…very young…even Varg…would have been late teens when he met Euro.
so it always made sense cosidering Mayhem’s status in Oslo..in the “underground”
and having Helvete..that these “kids” would look up to Euro…
but Fen Fen is a bit older…he should have felt Euro was more like a “peer” than a mentor..
and again-sometimes I feel like maybe being too critical-people change…
tastes change…but Fenriz doesnt do that-he doesnt come out and say it…”we changed”
he eludes to it…he tries to say that this is a revert back to BM roots…
and now, I am not even sure he tries to do that….now he wants to be “metal dude”
he doesnt address the constant changes that would make one wonder about their sincerity and faith in any of their past releases…
were they just giving us a go with all of it…??
were they just trying to be part of a scene? did they believe any of their shit??
    and about your point Admin…
were they really trying to”bait” people or were they just trying to hype themselves at that point in time? because with all the things that had happened…Dead, Euro, Emperor, Varg…the burnings…etc.
They had no involvement in any of those…so I am thinking without trying to be over the top in the press or on album sleeves…they were going to be overshadowed by their more “ambitious” and ‘actionary” counterparts…
bad press is better than no press…considering what they were up against ..
perhaps that was just a show too….
convictions are tough to buy when it comes to the throne…
    and I love…LOVE the old shit…..
so its not like I hate them or their tunes….

  31. Bicro Says:

    Same here.
A Blaze in the Northern Sky is unmitigatedly great.
The opening gets me every time.

    “Icons feed the fires” indeed…

  32. blaaarghhh Says:

    classic album Bicro…
“Under a Funeral Moon” was my fave…
    and…not throne.
but the beginning of “Freezing Moon” gave me chills…lol
    and of course Attila….
early to mid 90′s …lots of young stupid adult blackened memories..
had a girl, my sweetheart…huge boobs…who would wear my metal shirts..
she loved metal-all kinds-(first girl I ever met who liked Candlemass-and the last-lol)…and looked hot in my Mayhem longsleeve…”pure norwegian black metal and big juggs:…lol
    those were the days…
    well-I am watching 28 Days Later…
movie is great..should have had some BM on the soundtrack..maybe some Absu…

  33. Anti-Humanist Says:

Question: I couldn’t have said it better myself! So how are things coming along with EIBON?

Answer: “You know, it’s difficult for us to get together and shit because the distance is huge and everyone is in different groups. We have like four or five songs and we’re just doing three more then we have an album, and it’s gonna be fuckin’ tuff!”

this made me smirk for some reason

  34. Admin Says:

    “…it’s gonna be fuckin’ tuff!”

Fake tough guy Phil Anselmo himself couldn’t have said it better.

  35. blaaarghhh Says:

for the love of satan….you guys just add fuel to my fire ..lol
now, I do like a few Pantera songs-I will not deny…
but we all know the REAL history of Pantera, so no need to drudge all that up..
but they are perfect example of “dumb guys” being “smart” and
seeing the writing on the wall…when they discarded the bubble gum metal for
their vulgar dispay of power metal (lol)
how fucking smart were they? mid 80′s they were playing Bon Jovi shit…which we all know was on it’s way out at the end of the 80′s beginning of the 90′s…
flopped genres-burn your old shit and never talk about it again…and become
-whatever you want to call them-but don’t call them “poor” cause they made some sweet cash in the 90′s-more than if they stayed playing “Runaway” covers…lol
(I have to give it to Phil on the last Vulgar video-live shit he is wearing a Trans Hunger T-shirt-which did get me laid. I was watching this tripe shit over at a friends house-very cute girl who knew nothing of the underground asked what shirt Phil was wearing-no one there knew-so I told her-she was interested in knowing about BM-later took back to my place and played her some tunes and “informed” her of the underground-then “informed” her a few more times over the next 10 hours…LMAO….thank you Phil-where ever you are-your trendfuck-iness got me good tail for some time.)

  36. blaaarghhh Says:

that pic of Fen Fen haunts me…
    I am not a health nut-I am not svelte…
but I do play hoops, tennis and lift a bit…
    stay active…
dudes got a body of 60 year old…
jesus christmas Fen, put down the ale and weed…
and excercise or some fucking thing…
my forearms are bigger than his whole upper arm and biceps…
is he lactating?? his nipples look like a preggo’s….
for the love of odin..put a shirt and leave it on…..

  37. Bicro Says:

Does a lactating Fenriz shit in the pool?

  38. blaaarghhh Says:

is this a trick question? lol
    I would say no Bicro…
he and his milky man boobs hold all bowel movements in till there is
    recording session…
    then bombs away…..
    disc-o-shit

  39. Xr Says:

    Fenriz sucks jew cock.

  40. blaaarghhh Says:

do you fine people remember the scene in Clerks when Randle is in the video store (amazingly) and he is watching something-sounds like explosions (I believe in the context of his soon to have conversation with Dante-that he was watching “Return Of The Jedi”) and he turns it off-has a look of contemplation on his face? The he and Dante have the Death Star/Contractor debate.
Well, I just watched “Pink Flamingos” for the first time in probably 20 years. I love it-it is soooooo fucked up.
Anyway-I sat here a minute and thought. And I came to this: the disturbing charachter of “Crackers”-Divines “son” in the movie -reminds of Fenriz.
He looks about right-psuedo creepy look to him-bizarro-and I kinda picture Fenriz in this movie…
As much as I love “Lars Fenriz” or “Lars Fen-rich”…
I think I am going to call him “Crackers” from now on….

  41. autoeroticisms Says:

This is all just one person talking to himself, isn’t it.

  42. blaaarghhh Says:

    @auto….
“no it isn’t” “yes it is”

    “how DAAARRREEEEE you”..

NO DUMBASS…I would reason at least 3 are different..

me-the admin and Bicro…now maybe one or all 3 have different sign in names..

    perhaps….all the other are “us”…

why come to this site…if that’s all you got?? “duh….this is all just one person talking to himself, isn’t it….duhhhhh ??

if I had to talk to the “bright-ness” that is you all day auto….

I WOULD RATHER talk to myself…..

admin..can we do something so that we HAVE TO LOG ON-some kind of registration??
not that the morons who seem to post this shit will stop asking these things…
but at least we will get a better idea….you will totally

  43. Bicro Says:

    Yup, different person. Sorry dude.

  44. blaaarghhh Says:

    LOL @ Bicro..
I know-there is like what-6 or 7 of us who post regularly-or semi regularly?
And some of us agree with each other-imagine-the-fuck-that?
Anyway, going thru some old tapes today…
came across some packed away that I forgot I had-Impaled Nazarene…LMAO
I actually dig them, whatever their “politics” are -I don’t care.
Musically to a degree and “theme” wise, it seems Nattefrost veered CF towards a “IN state of mind” or is that just me?? I see ALOT of IN in CF -the latter stages of the 90′s and early 00′s. Same use of chords, same time signatures, just different tone and studios.
Probably what Fenriz wanted to be, IN. Just him and NC are just not smart enough to pull that off believeably. While IN are not TSO, or Wagner in musical talent or composition, their music has been better than ‘thrones has for quite some time. I youtubed “Hardboiled and still hellbound”. LMAO. Fucking brilliant and funny. Cute, sleazy, girl, who is not weighing 12 pounds with big natural boobies and destruction-
I love it. Two thumbs way up, and not up my ass. But thanks for asking. “Everythings coming up roses”!!!!!!

    Fun for the whole family!

…Maybe he’ll wanna be called Professor Culto after this?

  46. Suck me dry Says:

Oh my gosh you people who right this site are beyond pathetic. Your weak angsty, teenage ‘manifesto’ is a complete joke, do ‘em a favor and top yourself as you seem so happy to wallow in self-hatred and despair. So proud that you fooled a couple numb-nuts on the internet, ha.. don’t kid yourself you are neither elite nor unique. Get some real perspective losers.

  47. PAUL SPECKMANN Says:

To put it in short, what is better; this site or Darkthrone? Or rather which has had more relevance to the world. Or what has influenced millions to do likewise. The list is endless…
