I remember that Replay record shop well, used to have such lovely chats with the man behind the counter. My first buy there was Patsy Cline, wasn't too great for metal, but still I enjoyed it. The strange arcade it was in was apparently bought up by Duncan Bannatyne for one of his health clubs, but nothing ever came of it. I'm still missing the little vintage shop that was a few doors down. Still, Montreal was amazing for independent record stores, definitely not something being fazed out there. Two floors of records and CD's. Load of stuff in boxes below the normal shelves; you could sit on the floor and flick through boxes of vinyl for hours. There's nothing like finding a copy of a hard to find CD you love and have been wanting for a while, at a reasonable price.
